Another development for the village! Time to fight back.

Warton residents should review the plans for planning application 2026/0765/OUT, which proposes nine self-build homes on land behind 38–46 Orton Road, and submit their comments directly to the council before the consultation deadline.

We have learnt a lot from fighting for our village over the last few years. If you have concerns about this proposal, please review the application, prepare your comments and send them to the council now, while the application is being considered.

Issues for residents to consider

Please read the plans and explain, in your own words, how the proposal could affect you and the wider village. Relevant matters may include:

● The proposed access

● Additional traffic

● Pedestrian safety

● The effect on neighbouring homes

● Drainage

● The character of the area

Please be specific and focus on concerns that you can explain or evidence.

How to submit your comments

Email your comments directly to planningcontrol@northwarks.gov.uk, quoting planning reference 2026/0765/OUT. Please include your name and address.

You can also view the application, check the consultation deadline and submit comments directly through the council’s planning portal:

https://planning.northwarks.gov.uk/Planning/Display?applicationNumber=2026%2F0765%2FOUT

Submit your comments as soon as possible and before the consultation deadline shown on the planning portal.

Need help preparing your comments?

The Warton Residents objection toolkit provides guidance on how to review the application and respond:

Commenting on or sharing a social media post does not submit an objection to the council. To ensure your views are considered, you must review the plans and send your comments directly to the council by email or through the planning portal.

Please share this information with neighbours who may be affected, and encourage them to review the plans and submit their own comments directly to the council before the deadline.
