Residents Meeting and New Development

The Richborough Planning Proposal Consultation ends on 8th March (https://www.landwestofwarton.co.uk/).

Immediate Action if you are able: Respond to the Developer’s Consultation

The purpose of their consultation is often a “box ticking” exercise required before a formal planning application is submitted.

Suggested response:

Object briefly they do not need detail or well thought through arguments, they will use those to amend their plans and submit anyway.

Simply state:
The proposal is outside Warton’s development boundary and conflicts with the proposed Neighbourhood Plan.
Existing houses are not being sold demonstrating a lack of need in the area.
A lack of infrastructure in the area, doctors, schools, transport links.

Avoid detail: Keep the objection concise, save in-depth arguments for the formal planning application stage.

More details on what we can do once a planning application is submitted will be available at the Residents Meeting on 6th March at Warton Club.
In the meantime a crib sheet of what we can do now, and how to object can be found below.

Residents Crib Sheet of Actions to resist the development being proposed for Land adjacent to Red Marl Way. (with thanks to Angela B for support in putting this together)
